What is the number of Internet users in Indonesia? According to market research agency e-Marketer, the population of the country netizens reached 83.7 million people in 2014.

Figures apply to any person who accesses the Internet at least once every month it seated Indonesia ranked 6th in the world in terms of number of Internet users.

In 2017, e-Marketer estimates, the number of Indonesian netters will reach 112 million people, beating Japan at rank 5, the growth in the number of internet users is slower.

Overall, the number of Internet users worldwide is projected to reach 3 billion people in 2015. Three years later, in 2018, estimated at 3.6 billion people on earth will be accessing the internet, at least once every month.

"Mobile phones and mobile broadband connections affordable to encourage the growth of Internet access in countries that can not rely on fixed line, either due to infrastructure problems or costs," said a senior analyst at eMarketer, Monica Peart.

Peart said that developing countries such as Indonesia and India still has room growing number of Internet users that could reach double digits every year.

On top of Indonesia, the top five countries in the world Internet users sequentially for now occupied by China, USA, India, Brazil, and Japan.

The number of Internet users in China today, there were 643 million people, more than double the population of netizens in the United States amounted to 252 million.
